Clerical cadre of School Education Department demands DPCs

JAMMU, June 28: Senior members of School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum under the aegis of All Departments Clerical Staff Association (Ministerial Federation) Jammu has showed great resentment towards the authorities of School Education Department for eradicating the future of thousands of non-teaching officials especially clerical cadre of the department by adopting delaying tactics of DPCs since last 5 years.
The association has invited the attentions of newly posted Director School Education Jammu, towards this long pending issue of the cadre with the request to remove all the bottlenecks and convene DPC of Clerical Cadre at an earliest.
Senior members of the association claimed that they are getting step motherly treatment in Education Department no one is bothering about the future of thousands clerks working in the department.
“We have high hopes upon Principal Secretary, School Education Department and newly Director School Education Jammu”, the members said, adding that delaying tactics of higher authorities pushed whole non-teaching cadre destruction and the cadre is feeling suffocation as the future of these highly qualified employees is under dire threat.
The members said that departments shall refer vacancies in the promotion quota to the Public Service Commission and Departmental Promotion Committees, as the case may be, at least twice in a year preferably in the month of January and July and also take necessary steps for having the meeting convened.
The association requested Lieutenant Governor, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and School Education Department to kindly intervene in the matter and issue strict instructions to concern HoD for convening DPCs of clerical cadre at an earliest to give the sign of relief to this cadre.
