JAMMU, June 15: Seeking removal of pay anomalies, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has announced two-day complete pen down strike on June 18-19.
The Association is demanding pay scale of Rs 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs 4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant notionally with effect from January 1, 2003.
A meeting of the Association was held to discuss the demand and announce the agitational programme for the two days. While addressing the meet, Ravi Singh Bhau, Yash Pal Sharma and Ravinder Singh condemned the anti-employees policies of the State Government, which was compelling the Clerical cadre to resort to agitational path.
They appealed the Chief Minister to personally intervene into the matter and issue necessary directions for issuance of formal order removing pay anomalies of the cadre.
Others who attended the meeting, included Sukhbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, Hamid Hussain, Brijesh Mehta, Rajinder Singh, Subash Chander, J R Sagar, Avtar Krishan, Kirpal Singh and Vikas Gupta.
They also visited various offices to apprise the cadre about two-day strike.
