Clerical Staff discusses DPC, other issues

JAMMU, Aug 4: All Departments Clerical Staff Association in its half yearly review meet held under the chairmanship of Gurmeet Singh discussed certain issues.
Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Association’s senior leader was the chief guest on the occasion and the meeting was organised by Association’s Jammu province body.
Association leaders in the meeting discussed status of various issues of the cadre and steps taken to resolve them.
Issues like removal of pay disparity orders issued by the government on August 2 and restoration of increments thereof, augmentation of Secretariat Assistant Training Course and complete solution to curb the huge backlog were discussed.
Other issues which were also taken up were separate services on the pattern of Accounts and Planning Cadre, promotional avenues at par with Secretariat Subordinate Services, restoration of Ministerial Services and its due share in gazetted cadre as envisaged under rules in vogue up to 9070.
Still other issues which were discussed were departmental promotion committee of clerical cadre by HoDs and repatriation of field staff from offices to curb the culture of attachment etc.
The Association requested Governor and Chief Secretary to intervene into the matter and issue necessary instructions to the concern officers to resolve the long pending issued of clerical cadre on merits.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting were S Parkash Singh, S. Virender Singh, Ashish Sharma and others.
