Clerical staff’s pen down strike enters 2nd day

JAMMU, July 29: The pen down strike of clerical cadre of State Government under the banner of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, entered into 2nd day today.
The clerical cadre are on strike across the State against non-issuance of orders regarding removal of pay anomolies of 5th Pay Commission.
At Jammu city while addressing the demonstrations at different offices complexes, leaders of clerical cadre condemned the callous and step motherly attitude of the State Government towards the clerical cadre.
They said that the rigid, non-serious and delaying attitude of the Government has compelled the clerical staff to come on roads for removal of pay anomalies of 5th Pay Commission with effect from 01-01-1996 notionally and monetary benefits with effect from 19-02-2003.
At Kashmir, the clerical cadre has observed complete ‘Tala Bandi Hartal’. While addressing the demonstrations at different complexes, Mohd Sultan, Jeelani Niak Mustaq Ahmed, Gul Ayaz, Shiraj Ahmed, Mohd Andrabi, Mir Khurshid and Ayaz Ahmed condemned the anti clerical cadre policies of the State Government.
