Clerks’ pen down strike unjustified: ADCSA

JAMMU, Dec 7: The Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association (ADCSA)  has declared that pen down strike announced by a faction of the clerical body on December 8, 9 and 10 is unjustified.
An emergency meeting of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, was held here today under the presidium of Ravi Singh Bhau (president), Mohd Sultan (President Kashmir province), Sukhbir Singh ( general secretary Jeelani Naik ( senior vice president, Kashmir) and Ravi Kumar  (senior vice president),   in which several leaders of Clerical cadre participated.
While speaking on the occasion, the  presidium informed in the meeting that they had already in touch with the Government and held two meetings with the Government on September 21, 2016 at  Srinagar  and on December 2, 2016 at Jammu with regard to the removal of pay anomalies /disparity in pay grades of clerical cadre. The Government has agreed on the view putforth by the Association. Therefore,  at this juncture, the pen down strike call is unjustified and just to sabotage the cause of clerical cadre when the government is keenly interested in resolving the issue.
Ravi Singh appealed to all the clerical cadre not to support any strike call of on December 8,  9 and  Secretariat `Gherao’  programme on December 10. There is Saturday on this day and the Secretariat will be closed. He also appealed to the cadre to be remain vigilant against the designs of some vested interests.
Sukhbir Singh urged upon the  Chief Minister to provide justice to the clerical cadre employees as they are struggling since long.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Ravi Kumar, Brijesh Mehta, Jai deep Singh, Yashpal,  Kuldeep Kotwal, Gurcharan Singh, Ashish Bhandari, Sarita Wadhera, Anita Sharma, Surinder Kour,  Raman Ganjoo and Rajan Singh.
