Close scrutiny of Ashrams, Deras

Sir,
This refer to the article entitled as “Baba’s day out for justice”  published in the esteemed daily dated 27th of August 2017. The opinion of the writer is arbitrary and cannot be generalized as he points out that India has now become the country of thugs, dongi babas, rapists, fraudsters. It goes without any question that there may be some Teflon coated gurus/babas that befool the millions of innocent people in the name religion. But to rate all such religious institutions and deras with the similar yardstick would be non justifiable and derogatory. The author may be right in pointing out that the TV channels are paid to telecast their sermons and assemblies. But there are certain self contained duly registered spiritual centres in the Punjab state and other parts of the country which refrains from publicity and does great services to the real seekers after Eternal Truth. Such institutions are working silently without advertising their credentials through TV channels or other mediums and helping the destitute through charitable hospitals and old age homes. In fact, real missionaries don not require any advertisement and pomp and show or political affiliations for propagation of their ideology. However, everyone is welcome in their premises irrespective of his religion, caste and creed. Thus a close scrutiny is required to be made before making a general opinion of any institutions without testing their testimony.
Yours etc…
