Cluster Committee discusses measures for quality education

JAMMU, Aug 14: Under Cluster College Scheme for upgradation of schools into model schools, a meeting was held today in Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
In this meeting, Farida Javed, Principal Govt Girls HSS, Shastri Nagar Jammu, Swatantra Sharma, Head Master, Govt Girls High School Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Trimala Sharma, Incharge Head Master, Govt Middle School Railway Colony Jammu and Suman Choudhary, I/C, Govt Primary School Narwal Pain Jammu were present.
Cluster Committee Members of the College discussed various issues to promote quality education, skill development and their participation in different activities for the holistic growth of the school students. They stressed upon the need of reducing the dropouts amongst the students, inducing regularity, chanelizing their energies for constructive and positive way, inculcating interest in  the studies, promotion of co-curricular activities and other confidence building measures to enable them to fetch a good job and fit themselves in a society.
The Committee members also probed into the cause of the poor result in Govt Schools and put forth their suggestions and ensured support to fullfil the vision of Minister for Education, Naeem Akhter to enable the Govt School to compete with the public school.
Dr Kiran Bakshi Principal, Govt College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu also promised them to provide the basic needs and requested them to come forward with their current problems for their immediate redressal.
