JAMMU, Dec 14: Demanding postponement of semester exams, students of Cluster University Jammu today held a strong protest demonstration in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

The protesting students were aggrieved over the announcement of conducting exams of Semester V from December 26 and Semester III from December 28 despite completion of their less than 50 percent syllabus.
Led by ABVP and JJSF activists, the protesting students boycotted their classes and assembled in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s office where they held a strong protest demonstration.
They raised slogans in support of their demand for postponement of the scheduled examinations till completion of the syllabus. The students said that despite persistent appeals to the Vice Chancellor through memoranda, the exams have remained unaffected, prompting them to voice their concerns through peaceful demonstration.
“Postponing exams is not just about our convenience; it’s about the quality of education. We demand a fair and conducive environment for learning.”
The protest demonstration continued for more than an hour following which Dean Students Welfare, Dr Ranvijay Singh and others from the university administration talked to the student representatives and assured to look into the matter.
