JAMMU: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has announced relief for the accident victims while the Governor N N Vohra also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives of school children in a tragic road accident in Anantnag district.
Mr Abdullah while expressing grief in his condolence message to the bereaved families, conveyed sympathies and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
He also prayed for early recovery of injured.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs one lakh each to the accident victim school children families and Rs 10,000 to injured.
Meanwhile Mr Vohra in a message, conveyed sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery of injured.
In view of the frequent recurrence of fatal road accidents, the Governor has yet again called upon the Transport, Traffic and Police departments to take the most urgent measures to reduce the incidence of such accidents. (AGENCIES)
