SRINAGAR, Sept 29: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has deeply condoled the death of two Hajjis from Jammu & Kashmir in Mina crush, that occurred outside the holy city of Makkah Mukaramah, on Thursday last, killing over 1000 pilgrims.
In his condolence message, Mufti Sayeed expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister, who also heads the State Hajj Committee, offered condolences to the family members of all those Hajjis who lost their lives in the tragic stampede at Mina last week.
“My heart goes out to those who lost their near and dear ones in the tragic stampede at Mina. I pray to Almighty Allah to rest departed souls in peace,” he said.
The Chief Minister also prayed for speedy recovery of those pilgrims from J&K, who were injured in the unfortunate incident.
The Chief Minister directed the State Hajj Committee to coordinate with the concerned authorities for providing best possible medical treatment to the injured Hajjis for their speedy recovery.
According to Haj Committee of India, two Hajjis from J&K have died in the Mina stampede. They have been identified as Abdul Salam Dar, resident of HMT Road, Zainakote, Srinagar and Mehraj-ud-Din Ganai, resident of Patlipora Bala, Chatabal, Srinagar.
