SRINAGAR, May 7: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep anguish over the killing of three civilian and a policeman in yesterday’s militant attack at Mir Bazaar in Anantnag.
The Chief Minister said it is unfortunate for the State that human blood is being spilt here when elsewhere in the world the futility of violence to achieve political goals has been established beyond doubt.
Chief Minister also visited the Manwan village of Awoora and conveyed her sympathies with the bereaved family of constable Muhammad Qasim who was killed in Kulgam on May 01 when a bank cash van was attacked by unknown assailants.
Mehbooba Mufti sat with the family of the slain constable and consoled his aged parents and young kids. She said the Government would take all possible steps for the rehabilitation of the dependents of the slain cop.
