NEW DELHI, July 12: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, hosted iftar dinner here today.
A host of dignitaries including Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari, Deputy Chief Minister, J&K, Dr. Nirmal Singh, and other Cabinet colleagues, Karnataka Minister, Roshan Baig, former Ministers Sharad Yadav, C. K Jaffar Sharief and Rajeev Shukla, Rajya Sabha Member and former Governor, J&K, Dr. Karan Singh, MP and JDU national spokesperson, K. C. Tyagi, Vice Chancellors of Jamia Milia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Hamdard and Alfalah Universities, Imam, Jamia Masjid, New Delhi, Syed Ahmad Bukhari, besides senior IAS officers of JK cadre, journalists from the State, national and international media and prominent citizens from J&K as well as the Union Capital, participated in the iftar.
Special arrangements were also made for the invitees to offer Maghrib prayers, which were led by Imam Syed Ahmad Bukhari.
