SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah inaugurated Police Public Mela here today. He inspected various stalls installed in the Mela and interacted with stallholders.
The Chief Minister highlighted the role of J&K Police in safeguarding the lives of people and maintaining peace and law and order.
Omar Abdullah also underlined the importance of Police Public Mela and said that these are aimed at generating resources for the welfare of the families of J&K Police martyrs.
Director General of Police Ashok Prasad was present on the occasion.
In the evening, results of raffle draw for prizes of Police Public Mela were announced.
Small children drawn from the gathering picked the lucky numbers for prizes of different categories in presence of Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad, Chairperson, J&K Police Wives Welfare Association, Kiran Prasad, senior police officers and lady members of Police Parivar.
The bumper prize (Nissan Micra Car) was won by raffle draw ticket number D-31401. The first prize (six Santro Cars) were won by ticket numbers A-76966, B-20407, C-55891, D-85476, E-60953 and F-25771. 2nd prize (six Alto Cars-800) were won by ticket numbers A-71501, B-59238, C-17554, D-05385, E-49800 and F-94935. 3rd prize (six Nano Cars) were won by ticket number A-09762, B-92907, C-74834, D-48019, E-45152 and F-20852. 4th prize (Six Motor Cycles) won by ticket numbers A-48204, B-59946, C-95054, D-33966, E-73047 and F-34393. 5th prize (six Scooties) went to ticket numbers A-95923, B-64288, C-50728, D-82169, E-01589 and F-93532. 6th prize (six Laptop Computers) goes to ticket numbers A-11155, B-35964, C-42836, D-00325, E-03309 and F-47137. 7th prize (six LCD TVs) goes to ticket numbers A-76860, B-97909, C-47925, D-53121, E-23689 and F-40347. 8th prize (six AC 1.5 ton) won by ticket numbers A-15525, B-10199, C-15865, D-87262, E-55852 and F-16811. 9th prize (six Tabs) were bagged by ticket numbers A-79781, B-04310, C-99863, D-51106, E-02792 and F-33551. 10th prize (six Washing Machines) were bagged by ticket numbers A-63854, B-84816, C-12782, D-16737, E-62371 and F-55550. 11th prize (six Rice Cookers) goes to ticket numbers A-50384, B-94160, C-17575, D-22120, E-93962 and F-65843.
Accordingly (60 cash prizes of Rs. 1500) goes to tickets with their last four digits 7491.
Likewise (600 cash prizes of Rs. 1000) goes to tickets having last three digits 027 and (6000 cash prizes of Rs. 200) goes to tickets having last two digits 60.
The prize winners have been advised to approach the AIG (Welfare) PHQ, along with original tickets to receive the prizes during office hours.
