CM to attend NITI Ayog meet

JAMMU, Mar 25 : Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be visiting New Delhi tomorrow to attend the meeting of the Sub Group of State Chief Ministers, constituted in the NITI Ayog, to rationalize the Centrally-sponsored Schemes.
He will also be attending the function at the Union capital where former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be awarded Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of the country.
The Sub Group of the Chief Ministers, which will meet on March 27, will look into the 66 Centrally-sponsored schemes and identify which must be cut, which are to be continued and which can be transferred to the States. It is expected to submit its recommendations by April next month.
The Chief Minister will also attend the function in which former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be honoured with Bharat Ratna.
