JAMMU, Sept 16: CME on excellence in nursing care was held here today. The CME was organized by the Hospital Administration of Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals (GMCH), Jammu.
In the inaugural note, Principal and Dean, GMCH, Jammu Dr. Ashutosh Gupta said Ancillary Services are most important services which define the outlook of any hospital, providing any services to the community.
He stressed that besides having clinical and surgical skills as well as nursing skills, it is equally important to have effective communication and ethical skills. He stressed while dealing with the patient one and all should have both sympathy and empathy in their behavior.
Gupta also announced that code blue for emergency triage system of the hospital for the fastest delivery of action in case of acute emergency arising in hospital shall be introduced very soon in key areas of Government Medical College & Associated Hospitals, Jammu dealing with emergency.
He congratulated Ashwani Khajuria, Administrator, AHJ, Dr. Narinder Singh Bhatial, Medical Superintendent, GMCH Jammu & Rehana Akhter Bijli, Personnel Officer, AHJ for this excellent initiative for the first time in the history of Government Medical College Jammu for this event.
The CME was attended by many senior members of the administration, faculty members, nurses, paramedical staff, resident and postgraduate student.
