CM’s assurance has generated hope among KPs: One Voice

JAMMU, Apr 21: One Voice a newly formed organization of displaced Pandits today said that with the assurance given by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to settle the demands of exiled Pandits put forth before her by the organization at New Delhi during her recent visit to Union Capital a new ray of hope has emerged in the community.
Talking to reporters here,  Sunil Kaul Khan, Ashish Pandita, Sanjay Reshi, Sanjay Kher and Rajesh Hakhoo the representatives of the organization said that the exiled Pandits are waiting anxiously for the day to come when they will be back to their homes and hearths in Kashmir with honour and dignity.  The steps taken by the CM regarding the demands of the exiled people has reassured that there is some one to take care of sufferings being faced by this exiled community till the time it is back to its native place, they added.
One Voice representatives also complimented the Chief Minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary, Sartaj Madni for their timely intervention to solve the problems of the displaced people living in exile. Click here to watch video
They said the process was initiated by R  K Pardesi general secretary PDP Migrant Wing.
They said soon One Voice is going to initiate interaction unity session in Kashmir which will be followed by other parts of the country like Maharashtra, Karnataka, MP, Gujarat and Jammu. They said that Pandits as well as Muslims are sufferers of misfortunes that have engulfed the entire Valley. Besides One Voice will act as a bridge between J&K Government, Government of India and KP Community, they added.
They said the ultimate objective of the organization is unity and welfare to facilitate long pending demand of return to Valley and rehabilitation of exiled people.
They said the charter of demands put forth before the CM recently during her visit to Delhi included enhancement of monthly relief from Rs 10,000 to Rs 13,600 per month from April 1 this year, appointment of OSD from J&K Government at JK House , New Delhi to look after the various problems and grievances of displaced KP community, bifurcation, addition and alteration among KP families registered with Government of Delhi to be taken up with respective Government on priority basis.
The CM informed the members of One Voice that in this case due process has been already initiated by J&K Government with GoI and necessarily guidelines and instructions have also been provided to concerned officials.
Medical Insurance facilities for registered KPs have also been in principle agreed by CM and she informed that finalization and execution process is in final stage.
