JAMMU, Dec 28: In a proactive move to address the concerns of its personnel, CO IRP 11th Battalion, Sandeep Mehta, SSP, and Commanding Officer, today held a grievance redressal camp for the jawans and officers at the company headquarters near Police Station Anantnag.
During this camp, Mehta not only attended to the genuine grievances voiced by the personnel but also directed concerned officers to prioritize and promptly resolve these issues.
While emphasizing the collective responsibility of officials and officers in achieving the common goal of maintaining law and order in Jammu & Kashmir, the Commandant stressed the importance of working with zeal and dedication.
He reassured the participants that measures are underway to ensure the overall welfare of both jawans and officers.
Underlining the commitment to addressing grievances, Mehta declared that every concern would be thoroughly examined, and necessary steps would be taken for timely redressal.
Later in the day, displaying a commitment to the welfare of officers and officials, CO IRP XI Bn Anantnag chaired the Battalion Welfare Committee meeting.
During this meeting, a noteworthy decision was made to sanction a welfare loan amounting to Rs 5 lakh in favour of deserving personnel within the battalion.
Out of a total of 20 applications, 12 eligible personnel were granted welfare loans. These loans were strategically disbursed for various purposes, including medical treatment, higher education expenses, and marriage-related expenditures.
Expressing satisfaction at the efficient disbursal of welfare loans, the CO highlighted their significance in alleviating financial burdens for Jawans.
Additionally, he informed the participants about various welfare measures undertaken by the Police Department for the families of police personnel, emphasizing the commitment of all Police units to providing comprehensive assistance to police families.
