KATHUA, Nov 11: Govern-ment is committed to provide equal opportunities to the people of all three regions and welfare of weaker sections of the society. This was stated by the BJP MLA from Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia after inaugurating series of developmental works including inauguration of lanes at Changran costing Rs 10.00 Lakh, inauguration of lane and drain at Chak Desa Singh costing Rs 8.00 lakh, black topping of ITI and Shamshan Ghat road at Kathua. costing Rs 60.00 lakh, inauguration of lanes at Chak Sona Nupa costing Rs 8.00 lakh, inauguration of lanes at Lachipur costing Rs 7.5 lakh, inauguration of lanes at Chak Gadadhar costing Rs 8.00 lakh, inauguration of lanes at Govindsar B costing Rs 6.00 lakh making it total Rs 1.17 crore in his constituency.
Addressing the gathering, MLA said that the State and Central Governments are fully aware of the problems of the people and all out efforts are being made to mitigate the same on priority. He said that the Government is keen to reach out to the people in every area to address their grievances. He stressed for wide publicity to the welfare schemes available for the targeted group and cover each areas of the State.
He underscored the importance of various welfare programmes aimed at to bring a change in the living conditions of poor and needy. Central Government is committed towards the development of rural areas and progress of farmers, he said, adding the wellbeing of farmers is vital to the nation. The Government recently launched Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme to facilitate insurance for post harvest losses, unseasonal rains, and uncapping of prices for certain crops. Eligibility norms have also been relaxed by the Government to facilitate the farmers, MLA noted.
“Our Government in particular is focused on ‘Garibon Ki Unnati’, ‘Kissano Ki Samridhi’ and ‘Yuvaon Ko Rozgar’,” the MLA said, adding, Government is driving job creation through Make in India, Startup India and Mudra Scheme. He said the Central Government firmly believes that economic development and environmental protection can co-exist.
