Coconut oil eases on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 8:  Barring a fall in coconut oil on sluggish demand, rest other edible and non-edible oils held steady at wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
Traders said weak demand from retailers along with lower advices from producing region mainly led to decline in coconut oil prices.
In the national capital, coconut oil eased by Rs 25 to Rs 2,200-2,225 per tin.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,850, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,650-1,700, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,270-1,320, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,320-1,420, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,200, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,750, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,450, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,350 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,200-2,225.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,450, Castor Rs 9,800-9,900, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
