Col Mahan inspects construction of DDC building

KATHUA, Dec 31: To review the progress of under construction District Development Council (DDC) building complex near Hatli Morh, Col Mahan Singh (Retd), Chairman DDC Kathua paid a visit, here today.
The project worth Rs 2.5 crore is being executed by REW Kathua.
During his visit, Col Mahan was briefed on the project by Deepak Digra, Executive Engineer REW and his staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Mahan termed the project as a step forward to strengthen 3Tier PRI system instituted first time ever by Modi Govt in Jammu Kashmir Union Territory.
He said, “The state of the art new building will encompass offices for Chairman, Vice Chairman, DDC Members, CEO of the Council, support staff, waiting room for public, basic amenities, a large conference hall and parking area around.”
DDC Chairman asked the concerned agency for quality work and timely completion of the project.
