SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Kashmir valley is experiencing colder nights and warmer days as the minimum temperature was recorded below freezing point all across while the day temperature witnessed rise today.

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 1.0 degree Celsius against the sub zero temperature recorded on previous night. However, the maximum temperature was 15.7 degree Celsius against 14.8 degree Celsius which was 5.8 degree Celsius above normal during this period of the year.

Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded a low temperature of minus 7.3 degree Celsius against the mius 7.0 degree Celsius recorded Wednesday night. It was minus 0.2 degree above normal during this period of the season at the ski resort of Kashmir.
The tourist resort of Pahalgam in South Kashmir recorded a low of minus 4.5 degree Celsius against the minus 4.4 degree celsius recorded Wednesday night. The maximum temperature was recorded as 11.0 degree celsius which was 4.5 degree Celsius above normal during this time of the year.
Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway recorded a low of minus 2.0 degree Celsius against the sub zero recorded Wednesday night while Kokernag recorded a low of minus 1.6 degree Celsius and Kupwara minus 2.3 degree Celsius recorded on Thursday. (UNI)
