Collective action needed to fight COVID-19: Rekha

JAMMU, Apr 17: BJP J&K secretary, Rekha Mahajan said that as the second wave of COVID-19 is spreading at very fast pace, everyone has to be more vigilant.
In a handout Mahajan stated that the people need to follow COVID-19 protocol seriously to control its spread.
“Disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces, maintaining at least 1 meter distance with others particularly those who are coughing, sneezing and have fever and wearing masks in public are measures needed to be followed,” she said.
The BJP leader also said that self-isolation even on having minor symptoms like cough, headache, mild fever, until recovery are also to be kept in mind.
She advised to avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with hands besides avoiding contact with sick animals or spoiled animal products.
Mahajan stressed on the need to get vaccinated and claimed that J&K BJP has constituted teams of local activists in every District and Mandal for rendering services to the people since March 20 this year.
