JAMMU, Nov 27: A college student died in a suspected poison case at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
According to a police official, the student identified as Imran (22), resident of Bhaderwah, who was presently residing at PG Hostel of MAM College, was shifted to GMCH this afternoon after he started vomiting in hostel room. However, he died at hospital at about 2.35 PM.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings have been initiated at police station Gandhi Nagar and body sent for postmortem”, the police official said, adding, prima facie, it appears to be a poison case, however the exact reason of death will be known only after the postmortem report comes.
