BHADERWAH, June 27: A 22 year-old college student was drowned while taking bath in Neeru river, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Waris Alam (22), son of Sajjad Ahmed of Bun District Doda.
“As soon, we came to know about the incident, a police team along with locals, volunteers of an NGO and sleuths of SDRF started the search, but the body could not be fished out from the river till last reports came in”, said Raj Singh Gouria, SP Bhaderwah.
Bhaderwah Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
