JAMMU, Aug 22: Demanding open choice in forthcoming examinations, Semester 6th students of different courses in the Cluster University Jammu colleges held a massive protest demonstration, here today .
The agitating students, including girls, took out protest march from Women College Gandhi Nagar and reached GGM Science College where a protest demonstration was held amid raising of slogans.
Seeking open choice or relaxation in attempting the question paper, the protesting students said that their syllabus was not completed whereas the examinations are scheduled to be held after a few days.
Students of MAM College and SMPR College of Commerce also joined the protest demonstration, which continued for more than an hour, during which some student leaders and ABVP activists addressed the gathering.
Later, the protesting students also met Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University, Prof Bechan Lal who assured to the look into their issue.
Pertinent to mention that a memorandum with regard to the demand was already submitted to the Vice-Chancellor and the students had announced to launch protests from today if their demand was not considered.
