College teachers call on Education Minister

JAMMU, Aug 2: A delegation of College Teachers Association,  led by the president CTA, Jammu Wing, Prof  D S  Manhas today called on Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Higher Education regarding some significant issues of the college fraternity.
The Association apprised the Minister that the agreement on the demand of College Teachers, viz-a-viz, placement of teachers in grade pay of 7000, 8000 and 9000 besides implemented of API Score from April 2017, onwards was not fulfilled as the Department of Higher Education did not issue any formal orders in this regard.
The  Minister  informed the Association that the department was  already working on the issue and has sorted out the matter in consultation with the Law Department. He assured the Association that formal orders for the same shall be issued very soon.
The CTA delegation included Dr  Anil Ganju, (general secretary), Dr  Twinkle Suri, (vice president),  Dr  Surinder Sharma, (advisor),  Dr  Jagjit Singh (joint treasurer), Dr  Revika Arora, Dr  Sanjay Kotwal (joint secretaries) and Dr Mandeep Singh.
