COMCO appeals PM for pay revision of executives

JAMMU, Jan 22: A delegation of Confederation of Maharatna Company Officers (COMCO) under the leadership of Mukul Kumar, convener COMCO and president, Indian Oil Officers Association (IOOA) met Ameising Luikham, Secretary Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) and handed over the copy of a plea made to Prime Minister to set up Pay Revision Committee immediately.
In the meeting of COMCO, which includes officers of IOCL, ONGC, CIL, NTPC, SAIL, BHEL and GAIL held at Delhi, the representatives decided to make an appeal to Prime Minister to direct the DPE to initiate process for wage revision especially since the 7th Pay Commission for Central Government employees has already been released.
The representatives also expressed that there is seething anxiety and disgruntlement among the members on the lack of initiative from the management of their respective companies in taking up the issue of wage revision with the Government.
The Secretary DPE agreed to give a favorable consideration to their request.
