JAMMU, Jan 8: Senior Vice-President of J&K People’s Conference (PC) and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said that promises made by Union Territory Government with the unemployed youth have proved to be hoax pushing the latter to the wall.
Promises and claims made by the Government for thousands of educated youth have not yielded any results so far and instead people who were employed by previous regimes are on roads protesting for their regularisation and for releasing their wages every other day and it is shocking that instead of listening to their grievances these protesting employees are being lathi charged,” he said while addressing party workers convention in Talab Tillo Jammu today.
Former minister urged the UT administration to come out with a concrete job policy for the unemployed youth so that they may not suffer anymore and come close to mainstream. “Once the employment opportunities are created, the youth would be converged towards the Government, which is the need of the hour,” he added.
While addressing the convention, Vice President People’s Conference and former minister, Syed Basharat Bukhari, said that People’s Conference will always fight to ensure equitable development of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir as it strengthens the bonds of unity and integrity of the J&K which is the need of the hour.
