JAMMU, Dec 13: A review meeting of all designated officers including Food Safety Officers of Jammu Division was convened by Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) J&K, here today to review implementation of Food Safety & Standards Act (FSSA) 2006 Rules, Regulations 2011.
All the concerning officers from Jammu and adjoining district attended the meet on physical mode whereas officers from district Ponch, Ramban and Kishtwar joined the meeting through virtual mode.
At the onset of the meeting, Shakeel-ul-Rehman (Commissioner, FDA J&K) made elaborative deliberations on various issues inclusive of proper implementation of FSSA 2006 Rules, Regulations 2011 and achieving the valued targets of initiatives of Eat Right challenges and allied activities.
During the proceedings of the meeting, Commissioner FDA stressed upon all Enforcement Officers and District Enforcement Officers to leave no stone unturned to bag the 4th time consecutive National level Award in the all components of Eat Right challenge 2023-24, by achieving valued targets at the best of the best untiring efforts including MFTV, Surveillance, Samples, Food Fortification, general awareness and commemorations of Millet Year 2023 as a mark of excellence.
Precisely, Commissioner FDA directed all the Divisional Heads, District and Block level officers to show result oriented commitment by meeting out the valued targets. Moreover, all the officers were advised to curb the menace of the adulterations and provide safe food to the consumers and public in general. He also warned the officers of legal action in case of negligence and dereliction as well as against the poor performers who fail to complete assigned targets.
