JAMMU, Dec 16: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dr. Devansh Yadav today conducted a tour of Jammu North to assess the cleanliness and condition of municipal assets.
During the tour, the Commissioner visited various areas, including the Fish Market at Kanji House, Jammu.
At Kanji House, the Commissioner was informed that the Fish Market would be relocated to Narwal Mandi for which shops have already been allotted to the shopkeepers there.
While inspecting the municipal assets at Kanji House, which are currently allocated to the School Education Department and the University of Jammu, the Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to send formal communication to these departments, requesting for vacating the premises. He said that these assets would be put to the optimal use after repair and renovation.
Responding to the demands of local shopkeepers, the Commissioner assured them that the shops would be repaired and renovated for their convenience.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner, North JMC, Sanjay Badyal, Chief Revenue Officer, JMC, Sunil Gupta, Health officer, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Executive Engineers, Div-1 and other senior officers of JMC accompanied during the tour.
