LEH, Sept 22: The UT Administration today constituted a UT Level Committee for achievement of Sustainable Development Golas (SDGs) in Ladakh.
Headed by Advisor to the Lt Governor as its Chairman, the committee shall be comprising Administrative Secretaries of various departments, Divisional Commissioner Ladakh, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Leh and Kargil, while Director, Economics & Statistics, Ladakh is the Member Secretary.
The committee shall finalize Action Plan, including mapping of department and schemes for each SDG target. It shall ensure an effective monitoring mechanism of collecting, comparing and analyzing date on National SDG Indicators.
It shall also organize consultation of SDGs on identified on identified issues at UT, district and Panchayat levels from time to time as may be necessary.
The Planning Development & Monitoring Department will be Nodal Department for SDGs and Director Economics & Statistics will be the Nodal Officer. All departments shall frame a dedicated SDGs Cell in their respective departments/ districts and shall also designate a Nodal Officer for SDGs.
