JAMMU, June 24: For deciding complaints pertaining to the encroachment of forest land/property, the Government today constituted a committee, headed by Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department.
The committee shall ensure creation of its dedicated website and decide all complaints received by it after notice to the complainant and alleged encroacher within one month.
Principal Chief Conservator of forests, J&K, divisional Commissioner Jammu and representative of the Forest Ecology and Environment Department are members of the committee, which shall conduct hearings through e-mode, video calls etc.
