JAMMU, Apr 4: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of a committee for monitoring the progress of PMDP Road sector projects, other National Highway projects and development of Rope-ways under Parvatmalla Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shailendra Kumar, Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department will be chairman of the committee whereas Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department will be its member secretary.
The committee will be comprised of 7 members including Administrative Secretaries of Tourism, Mining, Revenue and Planning Development & Monitoring Departments as well as one representative (not below the rank of Additional Secretary) each from Finance Department and Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, besides any other member co-opted by the committee.
As per the order, the committee shall submit a monthly progress report to the office of Chief Secretary J&K.
