JAMMU, Jan 18: Government today reconstituted the committee empowered to make recommendations under the provisions dealing with discretionary quota placed at the discretion of Minister Incharge Estates.
As per the order issued by General Administration Department (GAD), Principal Secretary to Chief Minister will be the Chairman of the Committee, whereas Principal Secretary Home, Additional DGP (CID) and Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs will be its members. Director Estates will be the Member Secretary of the Committee.
The Committee will undertake review of all the allotments made in respect of public persons including Ex-Legislators and Media Persons, who have been provided accommodation by the Estates Department with effect from September 22, 2004 and consider regularization/ continuation or otherwise of allotments made in respect of such persons.
