JAMMU, Oct 7: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of Apex Level Committee and District Level Committees for districts of Ganderbal and Udhampur for implementation of ‘Online Career Guidance’ for students in the Union Territory of J&K, through web application of Transformation Foundation.
According to the order, Administrative Secretary School Education Department will be the chairman of the Apex Level Committee while Administrative Secretary Higher Education Department, Director School Education Jammu, Director School Education Kashmir, Director Skill Development Department, Director Finance (School Education Department) and representative of IT Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary) shall be members of the committee. Further, Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan will be member (convener) of the committee.
The Apex Level Committee will monitor the implementation of career guidance for students in the Union Territory of J&K through web application on monthly basis.
Further, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal will be the chairman of the district level committee for Ganderbal while Chief Education Officer Ganderbal will be member secretary. Principal District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Ganderbal and two senior most Zonal Education Officers shall be members of the committee.
The committee for Udhampur district will comprise of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur as chairman, Chief Education Officer Udhampur as member secretary, Principal DIET Udhampur and two senior most Zonal Education Officers of the district as members.
The district level committees shall monitor and motivate students for availing benefits of the programme and report weekly progress with respective directors of School Education Department.
