JAMMU, Aug 22: In the light of court judgement, the Department of School Education has constituted committees to examine the functioning and grant of NOCs to ETT institutions in the State.
Two separate committees have been constituted for Kashmir Division and Jammu Division with the mandate as decided by the Division Bench in the judgement dated 31-07-2014, passed in the case titled Sant Memorial ETT Institutes and others v/s State and others.
The committees shall inspect all the ETT institutes, including institutes belonging to the petitioners and all those which have obtained directions from the High Court at Kashmir/Jammu for grant of NOCs in their favour.
The committees shall submit inspection report to the Administrative Department for functioning and grant of NOCs in favour of ETT institutions in accordance with the rules and orders passed by the Department from time to time subject to clearance from the Crime Branch.
The committee for Jammu division shall be comprising of Dev Raj Sharma ( Principal District Judge-Retd), Mohammad Iqbal (Jt Director Trgs, Principal SIE Jammu), Choudhary Altaf ( field Advisor SIER Jammu) and Sudakar Chand (Principal HSS Harnia).
The committee for Kashmir division shall be comprising Mohd Shafi Khan (Principal District Judge-Retd), Mehboob Hussain (Jt Director-Trgs, Principal SIE Srinagar), Suriya Akhter (Jt Director EEE, Directorate of School Education, Srinagar) and Abdul Ahad ( OSD-SSA, in DSEK.
