Committees to monitor execution of Vishwakarma Scheme in J&K

JAMMU, Jan 19: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today ordered constitution of committees for implementation of Prime Minister’s Vishwakarma Scheme in the J&K Union Territory.
A UT level committee and district level committee shall oversee the monitoring and implementation of the Prime Ministers Vishwakarma Scheme in J&K.
The UT Level Monitoring Committee, headed by Administrative secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, shall be responsible for the operational implementation of the scheme across J&K.
It shall ensure coordination among banks and financial institutions for smooth provisioning of credit support to the beneficiaries and share feedback with the National Steering Committee.
The UT Level committee shall comprise Administrative secretaries of various departments, Director Industries & Commerce, Director Skill Development and others as its members.
The District Level Committees, headed the Deputy Commissioner concerned, shall be responsible for actual roll out and implementation of the scheme at field level. It shall ensure seamless enrollment of the beneficiaries by the CSCs in the Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies of the district.
General Manager, District Industries Centre is Convenor member of the committee while Assistant Commissioner, Panchayat; CEOs of the ULBs, Principal ITIs of the district and others will be members of the committee.
