Committees to monitor progress on four laning of NH

JAMMU, Mar 4: Consequent upon a Public Interest Litigation, the Government today constituted Divisional and District Level Committees to coordinate and monitor the work progress on four laning of the National Highway.
The committees shall coordinate and monitor the progress, timely completion of shifting process of transmission towers and other related issues pertaining to work on four laning of the National Highway.
The District Level Committees, headed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner (Udhampur/Ramban), shall function in coordination with the Divisional Level Committee, headed by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, and submit their weekly progress reports to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, who will examine and forward the same to the office of the Chief Secretary.
The Divisional Committee is comprised of MD JKPDC Ltd Jammu, MD SFC Jammu, Chief Conservator of forest, Jammu, Regional Officer, NHAI and Chief Engineer Public Works (R&B) department Jammu as the members.
The District Level Committees for Udhampur and Ramban shall be comprising concerned Divisional Forest Officer, Divisional Manager SFC, Executive Engineer, S&O (Transmission, Project Officer NHAI and Executive Engineer PW(R&B) Department, Udhampur/ Ramban as the members.
