Hai Dum”. Talking to UNI, the actor, who pushed the boundaries to look fitter and hot at the age of 55, said that he was really excited to make a comeback after a 3.5 years break.
“I have done television 10 years ago. It’s a people show that will bring out the real champ in the common people. When a common man brings a change, it is of great impact. I am excited that the show is planned out beautifully and its a very motivating show for me personally,” Suniel said. Talking about his son Ahan’s debut in the Bollywood, the actor said Ahan will be launched in December.
He expressed satisfaction that Ahan was in very safe hands. “I am looking forward to it. Final scripting and narration will start by June. I am very very excited, probably more excited than at the start of my career. Ahan has worked hard, rest is his destiny and his efforts,” he said. Suniel who has always played his age on the big screen, said that he would play his age in films after the comeback. “Obviously I will play my age after the comeback. Like earlier. I won’t be running around the trees and singing songs. I have got many amazing scripts coming to me.
The roles to which I have said yes include that of a father, senior officer in uniform, etc. So I am really looking forward to this exciting phase,” the Dhadkan actor said. “Every age has its own beauty, and I want to bring that out and show it to the people.
I have never been the one who has hidden his age or tried to show people, I am young. I think young, that’s why may be I look young,” he said. Asked if his kids Athiya Shetty and Ahan Shetty will get any preferential treatment in Bollywood, Suniel said,”Their father was a star but I went through the entire journey, worked and struggled hard. So my kids have to struggle too. Though their first film could be easy thereafter they have their very own struggles.” Talking about his fitness regime, the actor said,”I am fitter because I am getting younger.
I am doing an inspirational show. I have always attached myself to organic. I never used steroids, supplements and have always eaten my mom cooked food. And now I have realised what suits me. That’s why I am fit. I always try that come what may, I will always have ‘me’ time in which I learn, prepare myself and evolve.” Talking about his upcoming movie ‘Reloaded’, the actor said,” It is a great launch. I have a small yet powerful role in the movie.” (AGENCIES)
