JAMMU, Apr 10: Former Minister and senior vice president of Pradesh Congress Committee, Mula Ram along with congress workers of Marh block, spearheaded a series of public meetings in Phallain, Mandal , Sohanjana, Makwal, Sandwan, in Marh area.
These meetings aimed to garner support for Congress candidate Raman Bhalla for Jammu- Reasi Lok Sabha constituency in the ensuing polls. He said that while the slogans of corruption free dispensation and ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas ‘remained a distant mirage, the bold assertions of ‘Achhe Din’ have continued to remain mired in ambiguity. The saffron rule witnessed uncontrolled inflation, steep rise in petrol and diesel prices. The pre- poll promises having transformed into post poll somersaults.. The frequent attack on security forces, political persons and innocent civilians had belied the tall claims of BJP Government and shall continue to haunt the people for years to come. Urging people not to be misled by the deceptive sloganeering of BJP, Mula Ram said 12 years of saffron rule should serve as an eye opener for them wherein the people have got nothing except false promises.
