JAMMU, June 24: Government has over burdened the common people including farmers, youth, labourers and small traders by increasing unprecedented 30 per cent fare of public transport in Jammu and Kashmir, said Ajay Sadhotra, Former Minister and Senior leader Jammu and Kashmir National Conference.
“It is unfortunate that at this juncture when people are fighting Coronavirus pandemic, economy has been badly shattered and youth have lost jobs while farmers and Labour are facing unprecedented hardships due to crop failure and more over poor marketing. Government instead of giving any economic solace to the common people has over burdened the common people”, he added.
Sadhotra asked the Government not to over burden common people and demanded that Government should bear the extra burden of 30 per cent fare hike in public transport itself.
He also demanded that Government should give special economic solace to farmers, youth, labourers and small time traders so that they could make both ends meet.
