JAMMU, Feb 28: Reading, Writing and Rehearsing are three important things one needs to work upon to improve communication skills.
This was suggested by Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor Times Now during Entrepreneurial Workshop organized by Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network in collaboration with CIF (Romeo Force) of Indian Army.
Thirty students from Mendhar, Surankote and Poonch Degree Colleges participated in three day workshop titled: ‘Springboard: Entrepreneurial Exposure and Leadership’.
Workshop was inaugurated by Professor Raj Kachroo, Social Entrepreneur and founder of Aman Movement.
Pradeep Dutta while addressing stressed upon command over language and control over pace of words.
“‘Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast, ” and “don’t run to your death,” explained Pradeep.
“If you want to impact the audience in a meaningful way, make sure they actually hear what you are saying. Slow it down.” he added.
During course of discussion, Pradeep opened a vibrant space for young people to express themselves.
Besides this, his session focussed on three important A’s of communication- Awareness, Authenticity and Audacity.
In the interactive session, students asked questions on yellow journalism and corruption.
