Community Policing

Sir,
The  J&K Police is serving the State people in multifaceted ways and those are highly inspiring, encouraging and appreciable. Particularly, the youth related programmes like “Talent Hunt Choona Hai Aasmaan”, different sports activities etc under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) are yielding praiseworthy and practical results. The CAP’s  sole aim is to promote and strengthen the police-public relations, communal harmony, mutual understanding and brotherhood. So that the society may be made crime free, militancy free, drugs free and pollution free. In short, the endeavours are being made to channelize the youths’ energy for Nation building and health building. Patriotic feeling/spirit above all, is being imbibed in the youths’ of J&K State.
More interestingly the rural youths even of remote and hilly areas of J&K State are being greatly benefitted by the CAP. They get open hearted aid encouragement and boost in preserving and promoting the rural composite culture and rural sport.
Today, the police is inseparably connected with every aspect of human life. As the human society though progressing rapidly, is becoming more and more complex. The police today cannot live in a small group at an isolated place. It has to come closer to the every member of  the society and interact for obvious reasons. Thus, with every advance of good will gesture, woven in CAP like scheme the people particularly youth of all shades, would come closer to the police and resultantly the crime, militancy and all other anti-social and anti-national activities will become less and less. The CAP is a best way of community policing.
Yours etc….
