JAMMU, Apr 20: Thakur Ranjit Singh, president Market and Mohalla Association Basant Nagar and chairman of 31 Mohallas Committee has demanded immediate compensation be paid to over half a dozen fruit and vegetable vendors whose khokhas were razed to ground in a devastating fire during the night of April 18 at Basant Nagar opposite to PNB.
In a statement issued here today he said these vegetable and fruit vendors being very poor were unable to start their business and hence the Government should come to their help so that they can make their both ends meet.
