Compensation to border victims

Sir,
I wish to make public the Government apathy and double standards towards the innocent people bordering the LOC and IB although threat of life and limb loss always hovers over their heads. Examples are manifold when unprovoked shelling by Pak rangers left the families of these border residents injured and cost them life, besides inflicting irreparable limb loss. Most people are farmers and hardly meet both ends meet. Respective State Governments continued politicking by false promises that only made them to stake their lives and limbs.
In ominously shocking and spine breaking Pak shelling, heaven fell on the entire populace living in the border villages of R. S. Pura sector causing havoc on them. The cruel hands of destiny fell heavily on the entire family of Karam Chand residents of village Sai Khurd in R. S. Pura, when a mortar shell burst in their home that badly injured his wife and two sons, Subhash Chander (38 years) and Bhola Ram (51 years). One leg of Subash Chander was badly damaged and despite spending nearly one lakh rupees on the treatment, the leg of the poor fellow had to be amputated. On the other hand Bhola Ram got his left leg badly afflicted in the same incident. He spent about six lakh rupees beyond his meager resources by raising donations from his neighbours, selling his own valuables and borrowing from relatives and friends, but the destiny did less favour to him as he was not able to stand upon his leg and remained crippled for the rest of his life. The State Government paid only a paltry amount of five thousand rupees for the treatment. The whole episode was brought to limelight by this paper on 20th Jan. There is no exaggeration that it is the constitutional and moral obligation of the Central and State Governments to provide all facilities including reasonable financial assistance for treatment and sustenance, but the approach of the Government is not only indifferent in this case, but it failed to soothe the sorrows of its subject who are languishing for no fault of their.
A compensation of not less than ten lakh rupees may be provided to the next kin of the deceased for every human death in an effort to assuage and alleviate the miseries of family members of the deceased.
Yours etc…
