UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruc-tion, Disaster Management and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri inaugurated one day workshop on updation and digitization of revenue records, here today.
During the workshop various procedures related to revenue like Jamabandi, mutations, demarcation, land acquisition were discussed in detail.
The resource persons also threw light on the proper way of maintaining revenue records such as Girdawari, Lal Kitab, Roznamcha Waquati etc. which was followed by a question- answer session.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stressed upon the revenue officers to work with full devotion and dedication to serve the public and resolve their issues within shortest possible time. He also directed them to maintain the revenue record properly and conduct regular field visits to monitor the mandatory procedures. Stating that the revenue officers are the custodians of people, he asked them to give their best with whatever resources they have.
The Minister directed to complete the digitization of revenue records before the already set deadline of February 2018. He directed the functionaries to properly maintain and expedite the digitization/computerization of left out revenue records. He directed the revenue officers to take all requisite measures to redress the grievances of the people.
The Minister also directed the DC Udhampur to take monthly review of the status of pending mutations and submit a report to the office of Divisional Commissioner.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandhari, Commissioner Survey and Land Records Shahid Inayatullah, Deputy Commissioner Udham-pur Niraj Kumar, Regional Director Survey and Land Records Amit Sharma, ADC Udhampur Avny Lavasa, ADC Reasi Babu Ram besides other Revenue officers attended the workshop.
