Complete vaccination of all employees by May 7: DC Kargil

KARGIL, May 5: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve visited the COVID-19 vaccination centers at Government Girls Higher Secondary School here today where the vaccination of Government employees of different departments is underway.
DC interacted with the vaccination staff and expressed satisfaction on the overall arrangements for vaccination and the pace of vaccination of the employees.
DC Santosh Sukhadeve exhorted upon the employees taking the COVID-19 vaccine shots to follow the COVID Appropriate Behaviors (CABs) even after vaccination so as to keep themselves, their near and dear ones and the district safe from the deadly Coronavirus.
Deputy Commissioner also directed the District Immunization Officer (DIO) Kargil and other concerned officers to ensure completion of the vaccination process in case of the employees of all departments by May 7, 2021.
Meanwhile, continuing with the vaccination drive to vaccinate Government employees across the district, the District Administration Kargil inoculated over 1300 employees of different departments with COVID-19 vaccine shots for the second consecutive day today.
According to the District Immunization Officer (DIO) Kargil Dr Muhammad Abbass, Government employees of different departments, employees of all banks besides the Government and private media personnel and members of the Press Club of Ladakh, Kargil received the 1st dose of the COVID-19 vaccine shots at different vaccination centres set up across the district.
The DIO said that 694 employees were at the 2 vaccination centres at GGHSS Kargil while 285 employees at Shargole, 98 at Chiktan, 87 at Sankoo, 57 at Drass, 40 at Tai Suru and 25 employees at Zanskar were inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine shots.
