JAMMU, July 19: A complex surgery was performed successfully on a young patient at Sub District Hospital (SDH), Akhnoor.
The 26-year-old patient namely Anil Kumar of Lassu Bhalwal— a case of Pilonodal Sinus underwent wide excision with limberg flap at SDH Akhnoor.
This is a major and complex surgery usually performed in medical colleges by plastic surgeon. This surgery was made possible at SDH Akhnoor under the supervision of BMO Akhnoor Dr Saleem Khan.
The Surgery was performed by a team of surgeons comprising Dr Vijay Kumar, Dr Suchi Bahu and Dr Maqsood Owasi. The anaesthesia team included Dr Surinder Kour and Dr Leela.
Other staff of the Hospital including Rakesh Kumar, Tarsem, Amit Kumar, Rajesh Pushpa and Rupa assisted the doctors in successful conduct of the surgery.
