JAMMU, Oct 21: To enhance the educational environment and to foster the well-being of students, State Bank of India (SBI) today provided essential kitchen utensils for mid-day meal programme, renovated toilets and classrooms, installed a water purifier and donated computers along with nearly ten chairs and desks to Government Primary School in Bijowala, Khour as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The event was marked by the presence of Kumar Jee Raina, Regional Manager SBI and in his address he emphasized Bank’s recognition of the vital role that education plays in shaping the future of society.
Nirmal Devi, Principal of the Government Primary School expressed her appreciation to SBI for their generous support.
She said that such initiatives not only enhances facilities but also motivates students to engage with their education more passionately.
Those present on the occasion included Rakesh Kumar Jarora, Branch Manager SBI Khour Branch and teaching staff of the School.
