KISHTWAR, Nov 28: The inhabitants of Kishtwar town have expressed grave concern over the insanitation in the town and laying of huge garbage dumps on the road side at various places emitting a foul smell and creating health hazards.
The people said it is a matter of grave concern that the heaps of garbage are lying in the area which is near to main Hospital Chowk of Kishtwar and where the dust bin is full of garbage and there is no one clean it on daily basis.
Shamsher Singh Bhandari, Congress leader and member Civil Society has urged the authorities to look into the problem and clean the roads and dustbins which otherwise can lead to spread of epidemic.
He demanded that the cleanliness be made on daily basis. A plea was also made to president Municipal Committee Kishtwar in this regard by him and other people of the town and he was urged to issue strict instructions to the staff to maintain cleanliness of town.
